Arbroath players are in for a challenging pre-season after player/manager Paul Sheerin booked them into the local Royal Marines Training Camp.
The Gayfield squad will head to nearby RM Condor for a three-day stint in early July to get them in shape for life in League 2.
Sheerin said: “We start back on June 23 and play Aberdeen at Gayfield on June 28 but the following weekend we are going into the local Marines base and will go through some pretty tough work-outs.
“I am sure the players would rather have a game but the work we do at Condor will stand us in good stead for the season ahead. I will be getting involved at the training camp as I am intending to play again next season - I will probably hate myself at some stage over the weekend!”
