Cowdenbeath have loaned out two of their youngsters in a bid to get them match action with six foot five inch defender Steven Bennett joining Junior Champs Bo’ness and striker John Ferguson joining East of Scotland Premier League side Vale of Leithen until January.
Blue Brazil manager Colin Cameron said, “I do not think under 19 football is challenging enough for Steven at this stage and the move to Bo’ness will give him the opportunity to develop and take his game up to the next level. If he continues to improve his game he has a real chance to come back and establish himself in the 1st team.”
“It has been difficult for John to get into the team due to the formation we are playing and the fact that Lewis Coult and Greg Stewart are ahead of him when picking the lone striker.”
Cameron added, “He needs to be playing football on a regular basis and I know Vale’s manager, Robbie Horn, from my time at Hearts so hopefully the move will be mutually beneficial.”
