Betfred Cup begins tonight

The 2020/21 Betfred Cup kicks off this evening, with Heart of Midlothian v Inverness CT live on Premier Sports...

There are nine matchday one fixtures this evening and six more tomorrow, with matchday two this weekend and matchday three next Tuesday, October 13. Matchday four will be played on November 10/11, with matchday five on November 14/15.

Tonight's fixtures include Edinburgh City v Livingston, Dundee v Forfar Athletic and Morton v Queen of the South. Tomorrow's ties include Hibernian v Brora Rangers, Brechin City v Dundee United and St Mirren v Partick Thistle.

All group games that end in a draw are decided by a penalty shoot-out, with the winners receiving a bonus point.

The eight group winners and four best runners-up will join Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell and Aberdeen in the last 16 of the competition.

Five substitutes are permitted in this season's Betfred Cup, with a maximum of nine listed on the teamsheet. A sixth substitute is permitted in extra time in the knock-out stages.
