Premier Sports Cup

Betfred Cup QF preview

The Betfred Cup quarter-finals take place this evening, followed by the draw for the semi-finals live on BT Sport...

Celtic v Partick Thistle
Celtic have won the Betfred Cup in each of the last three seasons and have a 100% record in the Ladbrokes Premiership. They were taken to extra time by Dunfermline Athletic in round two, before winning 2-1, while the Jags beat Ross County 3-2, also after extra time. Thistle this week appointed Ian McCall as their new manager following the departure of Gary Caldwell.

Heart of Midlothian v Aberdeen
Aberdeen defeated Dundee 2-1 after extra time in round two while Hearts won 2-1 away to Motherwell. The Dons won 3-2 at Pittodrie when the teams met on the opening weekend of the season and both triumphed at the weekend - Aberdeen beat Livingston and Hearts triumphed in the Edinburgh derby. Craig Levein's men won both meetings at Tynecastle last season.

Kilmarnock v Hibernian
Killie beat Hibs 2-0 in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Rugby Park earlier this month and edged out Hamilton Accies 1-0 after extra time to reach this stage. Hibs also needed the extra half hour to see off Morton 5-3 at Easter Road in the last 16 but are without a victory since then.

Livingston v Rangers (BT Sport)
Livingston beat Forfar Athletic 2-1 at Station Park in the previous round while Rangers were 3-0 winners at East Fife. Steven Gerrard's team won 3-1 at Ibrox when the sides met in the Ladbrokes Premiership earlier this month and are aiming to win the trophy for the first time since 2010/11. Livi got their hands on this piece of silverware in 2003/04.
