The SPFL are delighted to announce the winners of the Scottish League Cup Final mascot competition.
Nine year-old Blair Valentine will lead out his beloved Dundee United while Celtic-daft seven year-old Ava Murray has the privilege of escorting the Hoops on to the pitch at the National Stadium.
The competition winners will be paired with their respective managers before emerging from the tunnel ahead of Sunday’s showpiece game. They will then take their place in the stands to cheer on their heroes.
Both mascots had entered the competition by sending in a photo of themselves decked out in club colours, holding a good luck message for their respective teams.
Blair crammed as much tangerine and black into his pic as was physically possible while Ava had clearly put a lot of effort into her ‘good luck’ artwork for Ronny Deila’s side.
We would like to thank everyone who entered the competition – we received a whole bunch of fantastic pictures.
Whichever team you are backing and whether you’ve got a ticket or will be watching on tele, we hope you enjoy the match!
