Dundee have appointed Gary Bowyer as their new manager following the recent departure of Mark McGhee in the wake of the club's relegation to the cinch Championship.
The former Blackburn Rovers, Bradford City and Blackpool boss was in charge at Salford City last season and will be assisted at the Kilmac Stadium by Billy Barr.
Managing Director John Nelms told the club website: "We are delighted to welcome Gary and Billy to the club. At the start of the process, we set out with a job description and list of desired attributes that we wanted in a manager. It has taken time and patience along the way but we have brought someone in that ticked all of the boxes."
