As Scotland prepare to face Brazil in a friendly match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, we recall some of the Brazilians who have featured in the SPL down the years...

Samuel Camazzola
Joined George Burley's Hearts on loan from Brazilian outfit Juventude. Midfielder who played eight SPL games in 2005/06. Later spent time in Norway and now with Bulgarian side Cherno More.

Alex Cerdeira
Striker who featured infrequently for Jim Duffy's Dundee in 2004/05, having moved to Dens from Apollon Kalamarias in Greece. Had a stint in Iceland with IBV and was recently with CFZ do Rio.

Edinho
Popular forward who played for Dunfermline in the first season of the SPL in 1998/99. On loan from Bradford, he scored his only goal against Hearts. Cult figure at Valley Parade, he spent much of his career in Portugal, with Vitoria Guimaraes and Farense among others.

Emerson
Midfielder with an impressive pedigree at the likes of Porto, Middlesbrough and Atletico Madrid. Was at Rangers in 2003/04 under Alex McLeish and scored against Panathinaikos in the Champions League. Later played for AEK Athens and APOEL.

Juninho
Playmaker who enjoyed a fine career, winning half a century of caps for his country and starring with Middlesbrough and Atletico Madrid. Joined Celtic for what turned out to be Martin O'Neill's final season in 2004/05 but failed to hold down a regular place and returned to Brazil to join Palmeiras.

Rafael Scheidt
A big-money signing from Gremio when John Barnes was in charge of Celtic, it's fair to say he didn't live up to expectations. Made only a handful of appearances before Martin O'Neill allowed him to leave for Corinithians in the early part of his reign.
