Arbroath’s on-loan Dundee midfielder Dylan Carreiro has been impressed with the standard in League 2 and reckons it will be the perfect place for him to show Paul Hartley he is ready for Premiership football.
The 19-year-old Canadian moved to Dens Park after three years with Queens Park Rangers and was farmed out to the Gayfield men a fortnight ago.
He marked his first start with two goals in their 5-2 success at Clyde on Saturday and Carreiro, who also played against East Fife last weekend, said: “There are some good players at Arbroath and there have been good players in the other teams as well, so it has been a great move for me.
“All the teams so far have tried to play football and I am really enjoying it. I hope to score more goals and help the team to do well during my time here and I am also hoping that playing here will help me break through at Dundee.”
