Celtic lost 3-2 on penalties to Kairat Almaty after the second leg of their Champions League play-off finished 0-0 in Kazakhstan this evening.
Brendan Rodgers' side were held to a 0-0 draw at Parkhead last week and the return match also failed to produce a goal across 120 minutes.
It was the hosts who prevailed in the shoot-out, meaning Celtic will now take their place in Friday's draw for the league phase of the Europa League.
