Celtic claim Champions League draw

The Scottish champions drew 2-2 with Atletico Madrid

Celtic earned their first point in Champions League Group E after a 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid 

Brendan Rodgers' side took the lead after four minutes when Kyogo Furuhashi latched on to Matt O'Riley's pass to finish past Jan Oblak.

Antoine Griezmann brought the Spanish side level when he scored from the rebound after his initial penalty was saved.

Luis Palma restored Celtic's lead at the interval with his first Champions League goal but Alvaro Morata made it 2-2 after 53 minutes.

Atleti midfielder Rodrigo De Paul was sent off with ten minutes to go but there was no further scoring in an entertaining contest.
