Celtic went down 4-2 to Aston Villa in their final league phase fixture of the Champions League in Birmingham on Wednesday evening.
Brendan Rodgers' side had already booked their place in February's play-offs and will discover their opponents - Real Madrid or Bayern Munich - when the draw is made on Friday at 11.00am.
Morgan Rogers had Villa 2-0 up after just five minutes but an Adam Idah double hauled Celtic level by half-time. Ollie Watkins, who later missed a penalty, made it 3-2 on the hour mark and Rogers completed his hat-trick in stoppage time as the hosts secured a top-eight finish.
