Celtic lost out 2-1 to Lazio at Celtic Park in their Champions League Group E match.
The Scottish champions took the lead after 12 minutes through Kyogo Furuhashi after a fine move involving Daizen Maeda and Matt O’Riley.
Serie A side Lazio drew level just before the half hour mark when Matias Vecino knocked the ball over the line from a corner despite Joe Hart’s best efforts.
Brendan Rodgers’ side thought they had taken a 2-1 lead only for substitute Luis Palma’s effort to be ruled out for offside.
And Lazio won the match in the 95th minute when Pedro headed in at the back post from Matteo Guendouzi’s cross.
In the group’s other game, Atletico Madrid defeated Feyenoord 3-2 in Spain.
