William Hill Premiership

cinch Premiership Preview: GW32

This weekend's top flight action is split across three days

It’s the penultimate fixture round before the cinch Premiership split with three days of intriguing top flight action to enjoy.

It all begins in Dingwall on Friday night as Ross County host a resurgent Aberdeen live on Sky Sports. The Staggies are unbeaten in their last six matches against the Dons but are searching for their first home win over the Reds since January 2021. Barry Robson’s side could claim their sixth consecutive league win and consolidate their position in third spot.

Saturday starts with the Edinburgh Derby at Easter Road as Steven Naismith takes charge of Heart of Midlothian for the first time following Robbie Neilson’s departure. There’s more than simply bragging rights at stake in the capital with Hibernian having work to do to secure their own top six spot.

Livingston sit one point behind Hibs in the top six race and they’ll be aiming to enhance their chances when St. Johnstone visit the Tony Macaroni Arena. Saints are without a win in their last five matches but three points in West Lothian would stop them being dragged back into a battle at the bottom.

Dundee United may sit at the foot of the table but last weekend’s morale-boosting victory over Hibernian ensures Jim Goodwin’s men arrive at Fir Park full of confidence as they face an in-form Motherwell side. Kevin van Veen has scored seven goals in his last four cinch Premiership matches as he aims to add to his tally of 22 so far this campaign.

St. Mirren could secure their own top six spot when they travel to Ibrox to face a Rangers side, who tasted defeat in the league for the first time under Michael Beale last time out.

The curtain comes down on the weekend’s action at Rugby Park on Sunday as Kilmarnock host league leaders Celtic in a 12pm kick off on Sky.
