Edinburgh City manager Gary Jardine has made striker Ashley Grimes his first signing of the summer.
The 30-year-old was with Manchester City as a youngster and has also had spells with Millwall, Rochdale, Bury, Walsall, Barrow and, most recently, Southport.
City's first game of the new season is at home to Berwick Rangers in the Betfred Cup on Tuesday July 18 and they kick off their Ladbrokes League 2 campaign against Montrose.
