Morton’s long serving player Peter Weatherson is to help out the club’s growing Youth set-up as he starts to prepare for life after playing football.
The 31-year-old former Queen of the South player, who joined the Greenock side since 2003, has recently agreed a new deal at Cappielow with his time to be marked with a Testimonial however he is also embarking on a new career.
Weatherson will join former Rangers player Jonathan Johansson in working alongside former Morton favourites Derek Anderson and Warren Hawke in taking a Youth side at the Club.
Manager Allan Moore said, “I am delighted that Peter will be learning new skills as well as being on the pitch for us.”
