Football mad Evans family will head south for glamour tie

Crawley Town Manager, Stevie EvansCrawley Town’s Scottish boss Stevie Evans, who used to play for Albion Rovers and Ayr United, may have taken his men over to Portugal for three days to prepare for the game of their life against Manchester United a week on Saturday in the FA Cup however, he has not forgotten about his football mad family back in Glasgow.

Evans has brother Gerard on the coaching staff at Crawley and there will be a reunion of four siblings as he has sent his northern relatives tickets for the game at Old Trafford, with older brothers Tony and Hugh attending as well as other family members.

Football is certainly in the veins of the Evans’ that will be turning up to support the Red Devils against the Red Devils, as Hugh is a scout at Queen’s Park, nephew James played in goal for Alloa and his son Kieran is part of the Queen’s Park under-10 squad.

Hugh Evans said, “Not only are we going to be seeing Stevie we will also see my other brother Gerard who is the first team coach down there. It will be a great day for the Evans family regardless of the result.”
