Cowdenbeath striker Liam Cusack is on course to make his first appearance on the season next month after stepping up his training following a knee operation.
The former Gretna, Dumbarton and Clyde front-man joined the Blue Brazil in January and helped them over the finishing line in the hunt for the Second Division title before admitting defeat in his bid to shake off a knee problem.
The 23-year-old has now returned to running during training sessions with Manager Colin Cameron saying, “Liam is probably only 3 or 4 weeks away from coming back which is great news for him and for us.”
“He is running a lot freer now than he was a week ago and we will step things up week by week and get him involved in some reserve games to get him prepared for the first team again.”
