SPL St Mirren and Second Division Airdrie United have completed the transfer of a member of the Diamonds’ backroom staff to the Paisley side with Doctor Ian Heron moving from Lanarkshire to Renfrewshire.
The move has created a vacancy at Airdrie with Club Secretary Ann Marie Ballantyne saying, “It is great that our club Doctor’s good work has been noticed by a SPL club and after much soul searching Ian decided to 'give it a go' there and everyone at Airdrie wishes him the very best in his new role.”
“Ian’s departure leaves a gap in our back room staff that I am looking to fill before the season gets underway and if any qualified doctors are interested in taking on the duties I would be delighted to hear from them.”
