The 23-year-old was previously on loan at Pittodrie from Old Trafford and has also had loan spells with Brighton, Derby County and Sheffield United.
Dons boss Derek McInnes has also brought in Ryan Hedges (Barnsley), Ash Taylor (Northampton Town), Curtis Main (Motherwell), Craig Bryson (Derby County), Jon Gallagher (Atlanta United, loan) and Greg Leigh (NAC Breda, loan) this summer.
