Former Aberdeen and St Johnstone defender Joe Shaughnessy, 27, has agreed a two-year deal after leaving Southend United.

St Mirren have also brought in 19-year-old Icelandic midfielder Isak Thorvaldsson on a season-long loan from Norwich City.
