Falkirk’s former Scotland U21 defender Kieran Duffie made his first appearance in nearly two months on Tuesday as an over-age player in an U20 game against Inverness CT.
Duffie has been struggling with a foot injury but got nearly an hour under his belt as Falkirk won 2-0.
Technical Director Alex Smith said: “Kieran has been troubled by a tendon injury close to the sole of his foot. Every time we thought he would be back playing, it would flare up.
“It is the type of injury that can affect your balance but he has made a big step forward by playing in the U20 game. Hopefully, he will be back in the first team before the end of the season.”
