Elgin striker Millar on way back

Scotland’s tallest footballer, Elgin City's Paul Millar, is back in training after nearly a year out with a knee injury

Scotland’s tallest footballer, Elgin City's Paul Millar, is back in training after nearly a year out with a knee injury.

The 6ft 10’ striker had surgery last summer but has now joined in training sessions with the Borough Briggs squad, although he is unlikely to feature this season.

Manager Barry Wilson said: “The club kept in contact with Paul and I am pleased we have the chance to give him training facilities in a bid to get playing again. It also gives me the chance to have a look at Paul for next season.”

Meanwhile, Elgin’s on-loan Aberdeen midfielder Jamie Masson will be out for another fortnight after suffering a recurrence of the knee injury that has already seen him miss six weeks.
