Aberdeen hit NSI Runavik of the Faroes for six at Pittodrie and are in Norway to play Viking Stavanger, kick-off 7.30pm, with the winners heading for Portugal next Thursday to take on Sporting Lisbon.
Celtic don't play in European competition this week but will travel to play Riga of Latvia or Tre Fiori of San Marino in the third qualifying round on Thursday September 24.
