Fans win chance to present Petrofac Training Cup

Petrofac Training Services today revealed that either Livi fan Graeme Blanche or Alloa supporter Alan Stirling will present the Petrofac Training Cup at next month’s Final.

Petrofac Training Services today revealed that either Livingston fan Graeme Blanche or Alloa supporter Alan Stirling will present the Petrofac Training Cup at next month’s Final 2015 at McDiarmid Park (5th April, 4.05pm).

In what is thought to be a world first, both supporters were selected after a national competition in partnership with The Scottish Sun.

They will enjoy a behind-the-scenes day at the final, with one experiencing the ultimate prize – the opportunity to present their winning captain with the Petrofac Training Cup.

Jill Tough, marketing manager at Petrofac Training Services, said: “Throughout the competition we have been committed to creating memorable experiences for fans and we’re completely focused on making the final all about Livingston and Alloa’s supporters.

“We have so much planned that we’re confident it will be a special day. But, we wanted to do something very unique, and so rather than exercise our right to nominate an executive to present the trophy, we decided to give away that opportunity to someone for whom it would mean everything.

“We’re excited to be welcoming Graeme and Alan with their family and friends, and know they will have a very special day. For one, of course, that day will be taking their place in history.”

Neil Doncaster, SPFL Chief Executive, added: “We’re absolutely delighted with this supporter-focused final and Petrofac Training Services are playing a huge part in bringing it to life.

“I cannot remember any previous examples of a sponsor giving up this right, so that a fan can enjoy such a moment giving them what will be a fantastic, memorable experience but I think it bears out what we expect to be a fantastic day at McDiarmid Park.”

Tickets for Final 2015 – which are selling well - are on sale now from both clubs, priced at £15 (adults), £5 (concessions) and FREE for accompanied U12s. Every ticket includes access to a free pre-match Fanzone with live music, free food and football activities.

Livingston tickets are available from Reception at the Energy Assets Arena, Monday to Friday from 8.30am-5.30pm. Alloa Athletic tickets can be purchased from the Alloa Leisure Bowl, 6.30am-9.00pm weekdays and 9.00am-4.00pm at weekends.
