Rangers beat Servette 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
James Tavernier (penalty) and Cyriel Dessers had Michael Beale's men two goals up inside 15 minutes but Chris Bedia pulled one back from the spot. The Swiss side had David Douline sent off on the hour mark but there was no further scoring.
The second leg takes place next Tuesday, with the winners up against PSV Eindhoven or Sturm Graz in the play-offs.
