Former Motherwell and Ross County defender Mark Fitzpatrick, is hoping that his first 65 minutes of playing action since Boxing Day will be enough to earn him a short term deal with Second Division leaders Queen of the South.
The 26-year-old played as a trialist for the Doonhamers in their 1-1 draw with Arbroath at the weekend and Fitzpatrick said: “That was my first game since I played on Boxing Day with Ross County. I have been training with Queen’s for a while and was an unused substitute against Ayr the week before.”
“Hopefully I have done enough to get a deal until the end of the season as there a lot of good players here and staying full time is an attractive option.”
