Edinburgh City will play in cinch League 1 for the first time next season after edging out Annan Athletic 3-2 on aggregate in the play-off final.
The Citizens were beaten 2-1 at Galabank this evening but Tuesday's 2-0 victory at Ainslie Park saw Alan Maybury's men prevail.
Tony Wallace (penalty) and Tommy Goss scored for Annan inside the first 20 minutes but Innes Murray struck for the visitors after the break.
Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “Everyone at the SPFL would like to congratulate Edinburgh City on winning the cinch League 1 play-off final.
“Edinburgh City were worthy winners across the two matches, and we look forward to welcoming them to cinch League 1 next season for the first time in their history.
“I would also like to send my commiserations to all at Annan Athletic and wish them the best of luck for next season.”
