Dunfermline Athletic are through to the quarter-finals of the SPFL Trust Trophy after thumping Arbroath 5-1 at Gayfield on Friday night.

Matthew Todd grabbed a double for James McPake's side, with Kyle MacDonald, Kyle Benedictus and Craig Wighton also on target for the League 1 leaders.

In the night's other game, Lee Connelly scored twice to help Queen of the South into the last eight with a 4-2 victory over Alloa Athletic at the Indodrill Stadium.
