The player that is considered to have the longest throw-in in Scottish football, Albion Rovers full back Jamie Gilmartin is dropping down to Junior side Lanark United on loan. Last season Rovers boss Paul Martin challenged Stoke City’s long throw expert Rory Delap to a throw off to see who had the longest throw, however the Premiership player never got back to the Cliftonhill boss.
Martin said, “Lanark are a bit short of players just now and Jamie needs some games so it is a bit of a win-win situation.”
