Henderson swaps Broadwood for Dubai

Clyde lose defender

Murray HendersonClyde have lost defender Murray Henderson for the rest of the season after the former Ayr United and Stranraer man decided to swap frozen Scotland for sunny Dubai.

Henderson was offered the chance to manage an 18 month construction project in the Middle East and he has told Broadwood boss Stuart Millar that it is too good an opportunity to turn down.

Millar advised, “Murray has been travelling backwards and forwards to Dubai for most of the season and he has now been offered the chance to go there on an 18 month contract. I have known him for a ling time, going back to my Stranraer days, and he will be a miss particularly in the dressing room where he is a big influence, however it is the chance of a lifetime for him.”

Bully Wee fans may not have seen the last of the 30 year old however with Millar saying, “We will keep hold of Murray’s registration should things not work out over there or he wants to continue playing when he comes back.”
