Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Queen of the South 2-1 in Friday's cinch Championship match in Dumfries to close the gap on leaders Kilmarnock to one point.
Billy Mckay scored both goals for Billy Dodds' side - the first came via the penalty spot after 19 minutes and he struck again just after the break.
Lee Connelly pulled one back for Queens with 15 minutes left but the visitors held on to leave their hosts sitting ninth in the table.
