Elgin manager that youngster gets his reward for battling injury

Elgin goalkeeper, John CalderElgin boss Ross Jack has praised goalkeeper John Calder for taking his place between the sticks for his side recently as regular number one Peter Donnelly is injured especially as Calder is just making his way back into the game after more than 2 years out.

Jack explained, “I am delighted that John is doing well as he lost part of his career to a really bad injury when he was younger. He was with Inverness Caledonian Thistle as a youth player and had his hip shattered and he to get it rebuilt through fairly complex surgery. We signed him from a local Junior side in January and you have to admire him for battling his way back to playing professional football.”
