Brechin may take advantage of securing their League 1 safety by resting striker Andy Jackson ahead of a second operation on his injured hand.
The former St Johnstone and Morton front man has been playing with a plaster cast to help the Glebe Park men survive recently and manager Ray McKinnon reckons it may be time to be fair to the 26-year-old.
McKinnon said: “Andy has had one operation on his hand and he is due to get one on his thumb. He stepped up and agreed to play and that helped us get away from trouble. He has battled hard for us and even set up the winner at Stranraer on Saturday but it might be time to say thanks very much you have done your job for the season.
“With the injuries we have had, he is likely to be the only player we can change as we only have 12 fit players.”
