Partick Thistle boss Ian McCall is hopeful that the Jags will be able to persuade man of many clubs Bryn Halliwell to remain at Firhill to replace Jonny Tuffey between the sticks.
The shot-stopper moved north from Wimbledon a decade ago and has seen service at eight Scottish Clubs including a two game spell with the Jags last season and McCall said, “We saw at Ross County towards the end of last season exactly what Bryn is capable of producing. When he was with Clyde I think he was just about the best goalkeeper in the First Division.”
The Maryhill Chief added, “ Bryn is more than capable of getting back to that level and our goalkeeping coach Craig Hinchcliffe could play a big part in providing Bryn with the self belief and support he needs to get to that level.”
