East Stirlingshire are to follow in the footsteps of Bundesliga club Augsburg, Austrian champions Sturm Graz, Dutch side SC Heerenveen as well as clubs in Belgium and Switzerland when they become the first senior club in Scotland to be kitted out by German sportswear firm Jako.
The Third Division side’s traditional black-and-white hoops design home strip, and their all-red away outfit are now to be supplied by Pro Active Teamwear, the official distributor of Jako in the UK.
Shire Secretary Tadek Kopszywa said, “Jako is a relatively new name in Scotland but anyone with an interest in European football will know it quite well. The idea of wearing the same brand as Sturm Graz and Dynamo Dresden was an appealing one for the club.”
“Being able to maintain our traditional home strip, which is popular with our fans, was also a crucial factor. Jako will also be supplying the team with a full range of training kit.”
