Victory in Ayrshire derby sends Killie to the summit

Kilmarnock beat Ayr United 3-1 at Somerset Park in front of 6,136 fans on Friday night to move to the top of the cinch Championship table.

Derek McInnes' side stormed into a three-goal lead after only 16 minutes thanks to Rory McKenzie, Oli Shaw and Jack Sanders.

Ayr's night got worse when substitute Markus Fjortoft was sent off but Kerr McInroy got a goal back for Lee Bullen's men before half-time.
