Former Livingston manager Roberto Landi has been dismissed as Head Coach of the Liberian national side just 11 months after the extrovert Italian took charge.
A parting of the ways occurred after Landi’s side were defeated 2-0 at home by Nigeria last Wednesday with the Liberia FA disappointed that Landi had not spent enough time in the West African country.
A spokesperson advised, “Mr Landi has over time failed to meet the minimum time required with home based players and his employers.”
Landi, who had once spoken of Champions League football in West Lothian, was in charge of the Lions for a five month period in 2008 before being dismissed.
