Legends of various football teams are coming together to play in a special charity match for ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND HOSPICE this coming Sunday, 3rd May, 2009 at Firhill Stadium.

Hospice Heroes v Dukla Pumpherston in the Celebrity & Football Legends Charity Challenge Match

Hospice Heroes Team will be managed by John Lambie and Dukla Pumpherston managed by Chick Young.

Players include Chic Charnley, Ally McCoist, Neil Lennon, Jim Duffy, Gordon Smith, Gerry Britton, Gerry Collins, Tommy Sheridan and Tony Roper plus many more.

As the match is at Firhill Stadium, every Partick Thistle Season Ticket holder who purchased a Family Ticket before Wednesday, 22nd April was entered into a draw to play in the Hospice Heroes team.

The game will have an interesting twist as there will be live celebrity commentary through the PA System at Firhill Stadium during the game.

Neil Lennon, who will be playing in the match, said: "I'm really looking forward to playing in this one as Chic is Captain and John Lambie is manager. I'm dreading Lambie being my manager as I don't know if he'll be passing out orange juice or cigarettes at half time."

Chick Young added: "It's 21 years since Dukla first had a game and funnily enough it was at Firhill so this game marks our 21st anniversary. I hope the fans turn out as the teams have some true legends in them."
