The 20-year-old has had previous loan spells at FC United of Manchester, Telford United and Notts County and has been capped by England at U20 level.
Gary Holt's side are currently in La Manga on a winter training camp before they return to action against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup fourth round on January 18.
