Shaun Rooney scored the only goal with a 32nd-minute header as St Johnstone beat Livingston in Sunday's final to win the trophy for the first time in their history.
Saints had been runners-up in 1969/70 and 1998/99 but Callum Davidson led them to glory at the National Stadium in what was the 75th League Cup final.
