Annan full back John MacBeth, who has made over 100 appearances for the Galabank side, has left the club to take on a new role as the player manager at South of Scotland League title winners Dalbeattie Star.
MacBeth joined the Black and Golds in January 2009 from the Islecroft side and he leaves with the club’s best wishes with Chairman Henry McClelland saying, “Dalbeattie will have one of the best players in the South of the Scotland League in their ranks and we hope that enjoys the extra responsibility that management brings.”
