MacDonald and Lynch progressing at Airdrie

Diamonds hope for duo to return

Sean Lynch in action for Airdrie UnitedAirdrie United boss Jimmy Boyle is hoping that his squad will be boosted by the return of defender Cameron MacDonald and midfielder Sean Lynch when they return to action next weekend against Falkirk.

MacDonald, who failed in a comeback attempt recently against Livingston following a groin injury, played in a reserve game this week and Lynch who has been troubled by a calf problem is expected to play second string football next week.

Boyle said, “Cameron played on Monday night and we are hoping to get Sean involved in the bounce game or with the reserves next week at Ayr United. Having lost Kieron Stallard to Australia and Michael Hart to a full time job in the oil industry it would be great to have these guys available again.”
