Mannus boost for Saints

St Johnstone have been given a boost with the news that goalkeeper Alan Mannus has signed a new two-year deal at McDiarmid Park.

St Johnstone have been given a boost with the news that goalkeeper Alan Mannus has signed a new two-year deal at McDiarmid Park.

The 32-year-old former Linfield and Shamrock Rovers No 1, capped by Northern Ireland, has been with the Perth club since the summer of 2011.

Saints boss Tommy Wright told the club website: "I am absolutely delighted that Alan has signed as he has been one of the top goalkeepers in the country over the last three seasons. He's committed for two years, with an option beyond that, so we are all pleased.”

Mannus added: "I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and could not have hoped to have been treated any better by everyone within the club and the supporters."
