Former Albion Rovers manager Paul Martin has ruled out a return to football at his former job as manager of Dumbarton or at Stair Park as the boss of Stranraer.
Martin left his post at Coatbridge at the end of last season after steering the club to promotion and then keeping them in the Second Division, ironically with a Play-off Final win over Stranraer, due to health reasons and although feeling a lot better Martin is not for returning to the game just yet.
The 47-year-old, who cut his managerial teeth at the Sons from 2004 to 2006 said, “I have received a few calls this week from people asking if I am interested in either of these jobs. I am flattered but I am not ready for a return to football yet as a result of my recent health scare and increased time spent on my roofing business.”
“I do want to come back into football at some time so you could say that these are the right jobs at the wrong time.”
