Airdrieonians have appointed Rhys McCabe as player/manager following the departure of Ian Murray to take over at Raith Rovers.
The 29-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday and Rangers midfielder joined the Diamonds last summer from Queen of the South.
McCabe will be assisted at the Excelsior Stadium by Airdrie captain Callum Fordyce.
