McDonald joins Jags

Partick Thistle have signed striker Scott McDonald on a contract until the end of the season.

The 35-year-old former Celtic, Motherwell, Middlesbrough and Australia forward has been without a club since leaving Dundee United in the summer.

Gary Caldwell's side are bottom of the Ladbrokes Championship but have put together a six-match unbeaten run since the turn of the year.
