Hamilton Accies winger Willie McLaren made a scoring return when he returned to action after nearly weeks out through illness when he netted for the New Douglas Park side in a 3-1 Reserve League Cup win against Partick Thistle.
McLaren was last involved when the Accies lost to Queen of the South on September 10, however he could have played himself into manager Billy Reid’s squad for Sunday’s Ramsdens Cup semi-final clash against Livingston when he scored his side’s second goal.
Andy Ryan hit a double for Hamilton with Jamie Campbell on target for Thistle.
