MacPherson praise for Brophy

Queen’s Park head coach Gus MacPherson reckons Hamilton Accies have a real star in the making in striker Eamonn Brophy, who has scored seven times in eight league games on loan at the Spiders

Queen’s Park head coach Gus MacPherson reckons Hamilton Accies have a real star in the making in striker Eamonn Brophy, who has scored seven times in eight league games on loan at the Spiders.

The 18-year-old netted for the fourth game in a row as the Spiders lost 3-1 to Berwick at the weekend and MacPherson said: “Eamonn has brought goals into our side and also has a tremendous work ethic.

“Technically he is very good for his age and he has a great awareness of what is happening around him. He has been a valuable addition to our squad and we are grateful to Hamilton for allowing him to play here.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, he will do well at Hamilton next season. He has shown at Queen’s Park that he can get goals and he has a bright future in the game.”
