Montrose are the latest club to run their eye over former Raith Rovers and Ross County goalkeeper Ramiro Gonzalez. The Argentine born shot-stopper had a spell in Scottish football almost ten years ago and has recently returned after a dispute with a club in Cyprus.
Gonzalez, who holds an Italian passport is training with his former Kirkcaldy club and was due to be offered a short term deal at Albion Rovers, however that ended as they could not play him last weekend when regular Rover number 1 Derek Gaston was suspended as international clearance would not have been through in time.
Links Park boss Steven Tweed said, “Ramiro has been recommended to me so there is no harm in having a look.”
