MacIver was with Ross County before joining the Steelmen and now makes the move to link up with David Hopkin's side for 2020/21.
Well boss Stephen Robinson told the club website: "Ross is another of our young players who needs to be getting first-team minutes. With no reserve matches, Ross joins Harry Robinson and Jamie Semple in going on loan to aid their development."
